Tiffany Tea Caddy A sterling silver Tiffany Japanese motif tea caddy with removable lid. The ivory plaque is decorated with a pair of jesters with applied gold decoration. Other silver applications on the body include bamboo, blossoms and an ornate Japanese style decorated band. Monogrammed on the reverse with a Victorian Gothic intertwined monogram. Width 4 1/4"; height 4 1/2" at finial. Weight 12.4 troy ounces. This actual tea caddy is pictured on page 35 of John Loring's book titled "Magnificent Tiffany Silver." In this article the author points out that the ivory plaque on the front of the caddy and the unusual finial on the lid of the caddy are the direct result of the collaboration between Edward Moore and Christopher Dresser.
