Silver from the 1970s in England produced so many interesting designs. Here we have an unusual English modern sterling silver box in the original fitted case by Deakin and Francis of Birmingham 1973. The large amethyst crystals are mounted in a sea of applied scattered but firmly soldered octagonal rings on the hinged lid. Lined with a thin layer of wood. An unusual piece by a great maker. In a fitted box with doors that hinge open.
