Whiting Miniature Sterling Lidded Tureen Osborn 1880
Description
A rare and unusual antique sterling small tureen designed by Charkes Osborn for Whiting Company circa 1880. The oval bowl has a hinged lid with thumb piece to flip it and no spout. The chased flowers and pierced handle are very much the design of Osborn during the period this was made. The feet are four depressions hammered out of the base. Excellent condition. The lid when down rests on a depression in the neck of the bowl.
