Description
A Kings pattern Indian Colonial stuffing or basting spoon marked with the maker Isaac Pittar & Co 1825-1848. The address of the company was 9 Old Court House St Calcutta India. The spoon is quite massive with marks on the reverse of the handle. The pattern is exactly like the English Kings pattern. Upon close examination one can notice a slightly deeper bowl than normal and a bigger curve angle on the handle. Never monogrammed. Im sure the manufacturing methods were different to British cutlery makers.
