Description
An important English art deco sterling silver bowl with matching plateau by Harold Stabler. Harold Stabler was a designer and silversmith famous for designing panels for the London underground tube stations. The bowl which has decorated hanging rings handles has an engraved monogram on the front. The plateau has a wood insert bolted to a sterling ring which forms the rim of the base. The bowl alone weight 80 troy ounces. Circa 1940. Retailed by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths, London
Diameter of the base is 13″. The top of the base has a circular black glass top held in place with three dowels.
