An engraved and cast applied neo classical Gorham sterling compote centerpiece with satin finished surfaces. There are two applied faces with ribbon motifs applied to the edge of both sides of the upper bowl. Never monogrammed. Dated 1872 from the E symbol with the Gorham mark on the pedestal base.
