Gorham Special Order Sterling Basket
Description
A large antique sterling silver pierced basket by the Gorham Company. Inscribed with a monogram and 1919 on the swivel handle. The basket has multiple applied faces together with wheat and grapes in an ornate pierced border. Retailed by Bailey Banks and Biddle.
The basket is very heavy and the pierced and engraved detail is way above average. It is no surprise that this is a custom made piece.
