Description
A magnificent tall antique American coin silver ewer circa 1835 with ornate floral hand chasing, The ewer has the mark of J & I Cox and also W Forbes who was the maker. There is some hand engraving around the neck of the pitcher. Excellent condition.
The cartouche bears an inscription with the date of 1838 to the New York Insurance Company.
