Description
A Twelve piece antique sterling silver dessert set in the King’s pattern engraved with a beehive crest showing bees flying in the background. Additional crest engraved on the reverse of the handle with the motto “Ales Volat Propriis” This means She flies with her own wings.
Various dates hallmarks are 1837-1840, William IV and Victoria. Thomas Smily and William Eley. Metcalf Hopgood. Crisp condition. The set was assembled by the original owners. All pieces have the same crest engraved.
