A large Durgin art nouveau asparagus serving fork in the New Art pattern. Never monogrammed. Marked with the Durgin “D” on the reverse and a retailer. Circa 1900. Perfect condition. The Durgin New Art pattern was known for exceptional weight and quality of the dies. It is considered the upper level of the Iris pattern by the Durgin Company.
