6738 German 800 Silver Wedding Spoon 11 1/2"

A massive pair German silver wedding spoons with figural handles depicting a male on in court dress on one spoon and the other a female figure in full court dress. The bowls measure 4" long and are hand chased with a floral bouquet. Marked on the reverse with a wheel, maker RC, Hanau, circa 1890. Length 11 1/2"; 11.3 troy ounces combined. This type of spoon was traditionally used in Germany to serve wedding cake.
